Context

The project was created for the sixth edition of the Timecode Akcja Animacja competition. My task was to create 30-second explainer presenting the activities of the Polish oncology foundation called Alivia, which offers comprehensive and free support to people living with cancer. While working on it, I focused on precisely fulfilling all the tasks outlined in the project brief.

Storyboard Concept

The main challenge in creating the storyboard was finding a way to address the subject of cancer with sensitivity and empathy—while aiming to bring hope and encouragement to those affected.

Visual Style

The developed illustration style conveys a positive and optimistic mood while maintaining a professional and credible tone of communication. The color palette and typefaces used in the explainer are consistent with the foundation’s brand book, reinforcing a professional and trustworthy image.

Motion Design

Smooth movements and gentle transitions between scenes contribute to the calm and reassuring tone of the communication, in line with the project guidelines.

Summary

Working on the explainer took me a total of 28 days. Although I didn’t win the competition, I’m satisfied with the final result, as I managed to create a project that thoughtfully addresses the guidelines described in the brief.
